Rediscovering

Plenty of us are experiencing growing pains due to our lives being dramatically altered for the foreseeable future. This is scary and what we experience individually can sometimes be and feel very lonely. We all have our own battles that we believe that others just can’t or won’t understand.

However, through the chaos of the change, there is also room to rediscover ourselves, our loves, our strengths, our weaknesses our worst qualities, our best qualities and so on.

We cannot do this activity through a broken lens. We must look into ourselves clearly and unbiasedly like a doctor inspecting a patient for symptoms. We must pass no judgement on ourselves but instead offer support for the good we find and remedies and alternatives to the things we would like to change.

Things change in the world so frequently so there is no need to bother yourself trying to rationalise every single thing that you did not expect to happen to you or the ones you love. Focus on getting by day by day, allowing yourself the down times when things get too emotional or stressful. Allowing yourself the happy days when you just feel upbeat even when you think ‘wow I didn’t know I had anything to be happy about’. Allow yourself room to feel whatever way you need to. To take resources from others but find your own way through your new journey.

Most importantly, be kind to yourself. You deserve it.
